We had an incredible Christmas as God gathered our whole family together to celebrate. Coming home from the mission field to see our four kids, their wives, husband, and nine grandkids is always a treasured blessing. Of course you will notice Becky is pictured joining us by FaceTime. They could not drive in from Indiana because Jonathan was fighting a respiratory infection. (We missed them but he's fine now!)
LOOK WHAT GOD DID AND YOU HELPED!
Your prayers, your giving, your partnership in faith - in 2019 hundreds of thousands heard the gospel, tens of thousands confessed faith in Jesus, new TC Centers were launched and we were honored to have a hands in raising up powerful young indigenous leaders across Africa and the world
Thank you for all you did to help us close out 2019. Now we explode into 2020 with excitement, opportunity, and vision. We are praying with diligence and we have a sense of tremndous opposition comin gup in this new year.
A special "thank you" to those who expressed concern over our blank international schedule on the previous E-ntercessions.
No, I have not finally retired.
No, I am not dying. By God's grace my health is fine.
We were waiting on God for specific direction. As you can see from the schedule below, we are anything but retired! LOL! Please continue to pray, but not too hard because there is no way we can fit anything else into the first 4 months of this year.
As you can see, I will head to Las Vegas for an ISAAC conference next week.
The following week I will head to Cairo, Egypt.
We are home a couple weeks, do some local meetings and then we will head to Beirut, Lebanon, Jordan, Syrian refugee camps, and Armenia. We need your prayers.
Following our time of ministry there, we will immediately board a plane and head to West Africa–Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). We will be with Dr. Vitalis and Angela Ekezie for the dedication of their new women's home and Evangelism. Cathy will minister at a women's conference hosted by Sister Angela Ekezie with Erica Nomdoe, TC Africa women's representative(and wife of the Africa Regional director Dr. Jacobus Nomdoe.) |

PRAYER REQUESTS |
PARTNER
PRAYER
FOCUS
Again I say
unto you,
That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask,
it shall be done
for them of
my Father which is in heaven. |
|
1) Grace, Peace and His Presence this New Year
May you experience an ever growing sense of His presence that transcends earthly presents. May you experience HIS love in 2020, both with those that we love, May this New Year celebration be filled with the PEACE & PROMISE that transcend concerns, circumstances and expectations as we launch into a new decade.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we can ask or think according to the power that works within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Jesus Christ to all generations forever and ever. AMEN
Ephesians 3:20-21 |
2) FINANCIAL CHALLENGES
AS WE PREPARE FOR 2020
We appreciate those who pray for us as you can see from the above schedule we face a an incredible challenge going into this new year with the number of trips back to back. But the opportunities were so significant and ministry needs were so compelling that we really felt led to step out in faith. Pleaase pray that the Lord will speak to the hearts of people who will help to sponsor these flights.
4) JUST PRAY NO April 18-19.
The weekend of April 18 – 19, 2020 has been designated as the 30th Annual “Just Pray NO!” to drugs Worldwide Weekend of Prayer and Fasting for the addicted and their families.
Since April 7th, 1991 “Just Pray NO!” has united Christians around the world in intercessory prayer on behalf of those bound by alcoholism, drug addiction and other life controlling compulsions Join us in prayer.
3) JOIN US AS WE WRAP UP
40 DAYS OF PRAYER 2020
|
Once again, the Global Teen Challenge family invites
you
to join us for 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting in January of 2020! |
As we enter into a new year, we are asking God to empower us to reach those who are searching for the freedom that is found in Jesus. Will you stand in prayer with us against the forces of darkness?
- Expect transformation in yourself.
- Model humility. Lead your staff and students into the presence of God.
- Expect your staff and students and those around you to have an encounter with the Holy Spirit.
- Give the Holy Spirit permission to change your schedule.
Decide what physical or social activities you will restrict. Will you have the devotional and prayer time during chapel in the morning or in the place of a meal? Make sure to give the Holy Spirit time to speak.
- Decide how you will use the daily devotionals at your center. Teen Challenge leaders from around the globe have volunteered to minister to us in our devotionals. What a wonderful way to expand the world-view of our staff and students and realize the enormity of our Teen Challenge family by receiving from global leaders.
- Decide the type of fast for your center to undertake
(Daniel fast, fast only one meal a day, etc.).
- Fasting must be voluntary, offered as a sacrifice unto the Lord, not forced. Explain to your students what fasting is and what it is not and then give them an opportunity to participate.
- Plan for the students who will be fasting and those who will not.
- Decide how much time each day you will devote to prayer and God's Word.
Daily Devotionals will arrive in your In box daily, beginning Wednesday, January 1st or as the Lord leads you.
- Do you know someone who may be interested in joining us in this prayer emphasis? Please forward this email to them so they can sign up at the link below.
