We are truly excited to join over 400 registered guests and TC Leaders from around the world to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Europe Teen Challenge. In 1958, TC began in New York City in Brooklyn, New York. Eleven years later, Howard Foltz moved his family to The Hague, Netherlands, to establish a similar work among troubled youth and the growing miracle of Europe Teen Challenge began.
As Teen Challenge grew in the USA, in 1969 Europe Teen Challenge was spreading across Europe. Fifty years later, with programs in 37 countries and more than 2,000 full-time workers and volunteers, God is still using them powerfully.
In 1983 Tom Bremer met Howard Fotz in a Hotel in Denver and God called him to ETC. When Howard Fotlz moved on to found AIMS, Tom was able to continue as servant leader to the Europe Teen Challenge Tribe. God has used him powerfully.
A historic distinction of Teen Challenge in Europe is their emphasis on sending workers to the streets to reach those bound by drugs, alcohol, and other life-controlling problems. From the thunderheads of coffee houses and bus outreaches , The Gate in Netherlands to Britain's cutting edge MOST HOPELESS teams, they are taking serious the challenge to Put Hope Within Reach! Victims of human trafficking and those with no hope of breaking free from addiction find their freedom through unconditional love, discipline, the word of God and a living, dynamic personal relationship with Jesus.
Abandoned trains like this railway car were a birthplace for the ministry of Teen Challenge across Eastern Europe. In the Czech Republic, from an oppressive totalitarian regime, alcohol and a home-made synthetic heroin called compote left a trail of death & destruction. As the "Cross & the Switchblade" disarmed the "hammer and sickle," the power of Jesus set men free. Hopeless men and women, once convinced by their government that there was no God, met Jesus and found hope. Bern Train
On the Street In Europe we've prayed for addicts on trains and under the bridges- evidence that there is still much work left to be done. Behind the beauty of a stunning skylines like Prague, London or Bucharest, the tragedy of human trafficking, addiction, and death still stalk the streets. Prague at night

1989 A New Chapter

After a decade of Teen Challenge choir ministry, criss crossing the East Coast & 5 national tours with Teen Challenge Choir, David Wilkerson introduced me to John Macey at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Teen Challenge Farm which let to our first Mission to Europe
John Macey, the visionary director of TC in South Wales invited us to bring a TC Choir team to Belfast, Wales, Scotland and England.

That led to 4 "International Invasion Teams" as well as the "Broken Chains World Team" with TC graduates from every continent. We were honored to have a hand in helping them as they launched The Evidence, a music team who ministered internationally and were used powerfully by God across Britain.

The international invasion teams were an exciting opportunity to provide ministry opportunities for TC graduates. More than that it marked the beginning of our international ministry. Our relationships with Great Britain TC, led to ministry in India and Swaziland and eventually the invitation from Brother Don Wilkerson to join the Global Teen Challenge Team.

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing.
She was very beautiful.
Psalm 27:8

We must all recognize our "roof." That is the place where we are susceptible to temptation. At Teen Challenge hundreds of times I have heard it, "The devil made me do it." Perhaps if we weren't such easy targets, we would see that the problem is not the devil, but the man in the mirror.

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it" (1 Cor 10:13).

The fastest way out of temptation is simply to not put ourselves in the place where we know temptation hangs out. If we do not die to the appetite for sin, we will be destroyed by the consequences of sin. We dare not allow temptation opportunity to even germinate in our heart.

In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah but David remained in Jerusalem. 2 Samuel 11:1

David's problem did not begin on a rooftop, it began as complacency convinced him that he didn't need follow God's call to the front lines with His soldiers.

Do you know your rooftop?
David was blind to what was coming!

David, the warrior- poet and king could not see that, though he was at his best in the battle, he was most vulnerable on a rooftop! God's work had to be done, but someone else could do it.

Do you know where you are the most vulnerable?
Do you know your rooftop?

I'm not saying it was wrong to take time off. He could have spent time drawing closer to God in prayer and the study of the Word, but in his restlessness, David became careless. I would like to think that he was innocently walking on the roof, but it is unlikely.

Don't forget, David built his palace-he knew every detail of the architecture. He knew precisely where the bath houses were and the preferred times of bathing! So was he surprised to see a naked woman? He may have done it many times before. Just one look . . . I will be ok--but this time he was snared! Pregnancy, deception and death were lurking right around the corner.

But each is tempted when, by his own evil desire, is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin.

James 1:14

Even a David, a man "after God's own heart" was vulnerable when he didn't stay on the alert for complacency and sin. We are all in danger. Samson toyed with sin until Delilah toyed with him. He didn't even know when the Holy Spirit left!

What is it that causes you to drift from God? Are we investing time, talent, and energy on activities, in places or conversations which we know do not honor God?

What do your "entertainment" choices say about your relationship with God?
Is your computer in a room or area where you can be accountable to any inappropriate images which may come? Let's remain in His presences and ask God to open our eyes to the vulnerable areas of our life; let's commit to walk the path of purity and stay off the roof! We are more than conquerors in Jesus Christ. His promise is that she keep us if we want to be kept. Don't waste time on the roof- Get to heavenly places.

Join us at Bethel Temple in Hampton On Thursday, May 2, as we gather for the Tidewater expression of the National Day of Prayer. We have an amazing worship team and powerful prayer warriors prepared to intercede for our nation.

1) Amsterdam, Netherlasnds

Please pray for a powerful move of God during the Europe Teen challenge 50th anniversary celebration. Pray these amazing workers leave refreshed, invigorated and anointed for fresh wave of miracles in Europe.

2) DEADLY FLOODING in the MIDWEST

Pray for the families in the and TC. Catastrophic flooding across the Midwest, due to a "bomb cyclone" has resulted in 3 death and left a swath of devastation.

Damages are still being tallied, but expected to exceed $1.3 billion in Nebraska. Pray for farmers who  will not be able to plant this year, since the water is not expected to recede for months. Ongoing flooding along the Missouri River has also damaged thousands of homes and inundated vast swaths of agricultural land in Iowa and Missouri.

3) PRAY FOR TC MADAGASCAR

Tropical cyclone Idai stormed into Africa making landfall near Beira city in Mozambique in the early hours of 15 March. The system also brought heavy rains and flooding to Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. Over 200 dead in Mozambique, 100 in In neighboring Zimbabwe. A total of 1.6 million people have been affected in the three nations.

Please pray for God’s protection as world health organization is distributing 900,000 dose of cholera vaccine and working to curb the spread of infectious diseases. Workers from around the world that are converging to meet human hope in Jesus Christ. Pray for Mozambique Teen Challenge.

4) MALAWI Teen Challenge

Call for prayers
Please pray for our country.  Malawi has been affected by the rains
Following the heavy downpour, which has hit most the parts of Malawi since the beginning of the week, The Government of Malawi has published a press release about the floods which have occurred in some parts of the country.

A total of 45 deaths have so far been reported, 577 people have been reported as having sustained injuries and 2 people have been reported missing. It has also been reported that 147,958 households (approximately 739,790 people) have been affected and 15,185 households have been displaced with 187 camps established.

Our thoughts are with the ones who have lost their beloved ones, the ones in pain and anyone affected in any way. The victims are kept in classroom blocks and some sleeping a tent without anything. Malawi Assemblies of God is organizing aid to the churches and it's very little comparing to  the population that has been affected by this rain. please pray for them and help where you can.
Yours
