We were so blessed by an amazing time of ministry in Cote d'Ivoire. From meetings with Dr Ekezie, and the Ministry of Education, key political and church leaders, to commissioning, training, and evangelism, as well as the ribbon cutting at the new TC center in Jacqueville, it was a blessing to see God move.

If there was a word bigger than, "Thank You," we would use it to describe our grateful hearts to all of you who stand with us in prayer and giving. When Bernie arrived home with a fever, nausea, diarrhea, headaches and aching bones, you all stood with us so powerfully and God moved supernaturally to heal him. When the symptoms said malaria, God said,"HEALED!"
Bernie is recovering well. Please keep praying.

TC Cote d'Ivoire CENTRE DEDICATION
z
The dedication of the new Teen Challenge center in Jaqueville, Cote d'Ivoire was a wonderful time of celebration and promise for people struggling with addiction. Surrounded by leaders of the church, key political leaders, staff and community assets, it was an honor to speak, share the day and to help cut the ribbon.
What an honor for Teen Challenge to receive the endorsement of the Minister of Education. He opened the doors to EVERY school in the nation. With over 6 million students and 168,000 educational workers, TC was recognized as the prime prevention resource for all Côte d'Ivoire schools. I invited Dr Ekezie and the TC team to join us on the platform to a rousing ovation by the crowd.

FACIAL RECOGNITION!

Cross & the Switchblade
on the Street, Jaqueville
Cote d'Ivoire

The timeless story of the ministry of David Wilkerson and the birth of Teen Challenge remains a powerful tool for evangelism, even 5 decades after its first release. We showed the 'French language' version to a wonderful crowd on the street in Cote D'Ivoire.
Some sat, some stood, all watched for almost two hours and at the end of the movie, they waited as I shared God's word and invited them to experience their own miracle.

Some wept as I shared, "This is not just a story about David Wilkerson and Nicky Cruz. This is the story of God's love for you. Nicky got his miracle.

The question now is ...
will you take hold of yours?
"

Thank You for PRAYING

Join us for praise, worship, prayer and a powerful time of ministry at Calvary in Hampton VA, with Leonard Sweet, James Davis, and District Superintendent Frank Potter.

When you said, "Seek my face." my heart said to you, "Your face will I seek."Psalm 27:8

3  Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.
4  Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually.
Psalm 105:3-4

In a crowded world of sound, distraction and so much that demands our attention, I love the fact that David saw that he needed to seek God's face --not his hand, not his blessing. This "man after God's own heart" recognized God's Face is where you find intimacy. We don’t recognize people by their feet or their hands, but by their face. It could be their walk, sometimes their actions - but always their face.

Technology is available right now that can pick an individual out of a huge crowd, extract the face from the rest of the scene, compare it to a database of stored images and identify the individual. Whether you are in a crowded terminal, office hallway, or using your new smart phone, your face will always stand out.

This software differentiates between a generic face and the background. Facial recognition software has the ability to recognize a person by identifying various features of a face. Every face has up to 80 nodal points that can be measured by cataloging the different peaks and valleys and distinguishable landmarks, that make up facial features. That's why I want to know His face. I want the real Jesus.

I want the gospel Jesus.
The Jesus of the Word of God.
The supernatural Jesus
NOT:
The religious Jesus,
The "old timey" Jesus,
The church Jesus.
NOT the hip-hop Jesus,
not the politically correct Jesus,

not the easy way out Jesus.

Culture has tried to obscure the
"Nodal Points" of
the Almighty, rendering the true God almost
unrecognizable.

David was a man after God's own heart. He was not seeking God’s hand, but his face. He did not have the technology to do facial recognition with a computer, but his heart knew the urgency of recognizing God’s face. Our culture keeps trying to redefine the "nodal  points"  of the Almighty rendering the true God almost unrecognizable.  For many people, God is measured by their happiness, by blessing or prosperity. But in the the end, the Bible defines how to recognize His face, not possessions or circumstances.

God is who He IS, even when He is not who you WISH He would be. In His love and divine sovereignty is the reality that if you try to change His face to meet your FELT needs, you will never know the only God who can satisfy your REAL needs. If you try to redefine the face you want God to be, you will never expereince the God that you NEED.

God wants to invade the impossible of your circumstances with the timeless reality of His supernatural love in ways you can never apprehend with reason. He is calling us to seek His face and to trust.

If God has to FIX something, DO something, or CHANGE something to make you HAPPY, you are seeking his hand, not His face. Until I can be satisfied with HIM, I do not truly know His face.

PRAYER

LORD, in the midst of the crowds and confusion, through the ever tightening noose of needs and past the urgency of the demands of the moment, may I focus on Your face. So often I focus on the temporal goals. But with my tendency to always focus on the next thing to DO, please never let me lose sight of Your face. Like that facial recognition software, may I ever be able to find YOUR face in the crowd and allow it to lead me to Your peace, Your promise and Your grace.

Commissioning Leaders for Outreach
It was such a blessing to to pray and minister to these graduates. There are huge opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire and we are excited to see the doors that God is opening. As we commissioned and prayed for these graduates to serve in the harvest, we pray that God will continue to move powerfully in their lives. As TC works with the local schools and ministries, and as they develop tools for evangelism and outreach, these men and women will be key assets in the harvest.

Please join us as we continue to pray for the move of God, that they will reach the lost and that supernatural power will explode in Africa.

1) DEADLY TORNADOES-SOUTHEAST

At least 23 dead in a catastrophic tornado outbreak in Alabama and Georgia

Pray for the families in the Southeast. The tornadoes in eastern Alabama that killed at least 23 people, three of whom were children, included a "monster tornado" that was the deadliest storm in the country since 2013. Almost all of the victims whose bodies have been recovered from Sunday's tornadoes have been identified, Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said at a press conference Monday. "It’s been a long, long night," Harris said. "Some of these families have lost almost the entire family."

Please pray that God will comfort the hearts of those who lost loved ones and property.

2) PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

God was merciful to Global TC Headquarters in Columbus, Georgia -the staff & building were spared. Even our President/CEO Dr. Nance shared, The tornado that came through Lee County, Alabama & Columbus, Georgia came by my home. We are thankful that Libby was fine & that not one of the 35 trees that fell, hit the house.Truly a miracle to see trees on the ground everywhere & not one hit the house. Thanks for your prayers

3) COTE D'IVOIRE - PASTOR'S AWARENESS

Over 30 church and community leaders met at the Mayor's Office to identify strategies and marshall resources for the growing drug problem.
It was a real blessing to sense their hearts and see competition turn to cooperation with a heart of love for a generation in need. Please continue to pray for the Teen Challenge ministry of Cote d'Ivoire, for workers and resources and for the work to continue to grow.

4) CapeTown, SOUTH AFRICA

What an amazing blessing to hear the report of the police commissioner to our Africa Regional Director, Dr. Jacobus Nomdoe. You may recall we reported the prayer walks of Teen Challenge in Cape Town, South Africa. They are doing spiritual warfare against the spirit of violence.

The police commissioner met with Dr Nomdoe and reported that there were 35 murders the week before the prayer walks, and only five murders since then.

May God anoint our teams to continue to take the battle to the enemy, tear down spiritual principalities of violence, and bind the strongman that we might plunder his kingdom of darkness to set the captives free.

5) AFRICA-M*SS*ON SOS

The M*SS*on SOS gear did not make it out of Rwanda. At the border, as the truck awaited clearance, a vehicle lost its brakes crashing into our truck and eight other vehicles.
There was a huge explosion, a blazing inferno and the containers, the entire stage, lighting, and sound equipment were consumed. All of the festival gear valued at approximately US$1.5 million has been lost and the system must be reconfigured in time for the June outreach in Tanzania. A truck fire will not stop momentum, but they need your prayers and as the Lord leads -- financial help..
