What an amazing time of ministry in the United Kingdom. We are so grateful for the hospitality of Phil Hills and his team What a whirlwind  tour! What a blessing and opportunity. From Willoughby House in Nottingham, on the street in Liverpool, to the Hope House women’s center in Llanelli, South Wales, we met anointed staff and students truly hungry for God.

We prayed with amazing students from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We were impressed by our visits to Horizon Life, their vocational training facility in Killigham, as well as the amazing new women’s property in development in the north of England. They model excellence in every part of their ministry.

We are already in Washington State for Spiritual Emphasis with Chris Hodges and the ministry of Pacific Northwest Teen Challenge. We truly appreciate your prayers. It will be a blessing to join with Jacobus Nomdoe, Africa Regional Director of Global Teen Challenge there and the leadership team. We are honored to minister to their Gen Next team, Interns and staff. We are looking forward to a great week with their staff and students. Please pray that God will have His way.

TC United Kingdom Graduation

TC United Kingdom Graduation was a tremendous testimony to the power of God. We are so excited for 45 amazing miracles, graduates who had the courage to face their past, take hold of the promise and now boldly GO into a redeemed future. Check out their facebook page for pictures of all of the graduates. https://www.facebook.com/teenchallengeuk/

Thank God for Phil Hills and the amazing team of TC United Kingdom --Jay -Fiona- Alicia Ward - Anita - Donna Kerr and so many others. We saw excellence reflected in every aspect of this ministry. More than that - we thank God for all 45 incredible graduates, every family, staff and partner that had a hand in touching each graduate - a word - a note - a prayer- a gift. All played a role in the miracle.

I am so encouraged to see centers like TCUK, after decades of ministry, that still integrate the ethos of evangelism into all that they do. From their men's and women's centers, to the Horizon Life Training School, to their work with the most hopeless in Liverpool (see video) evangelism is intentionally integrated into the discipleship process. He that winneth souls is wise! #puttinghopewithinreach
LIVERPOOL
What an amazing time of ministry in Liverpool. Debbie Swandel and her team are doing an amazing job. This is real Teen Challenge ministry in action. She is as unassuming as she is powerful. Today Debbie walks the streets of Liverpool. She knows the addicts by name and every prostitute's story -- and they know her.
She and her team work in the worst areas of the United Kingdom, reaching the most hopeless with a love and compassion that I seldom see. While it is easy to focus on numbers or statistics, this team invests time to build life changing relationships which are having eternal results.
.
Miracles like Nicky Cruz or Sonny Argonzoni were not one meeting wonders. In those early days, time was invested in each life. The Most Hopeless Project has recaptured the spirit of street evangelism from those early days of TC. She shares with "Nigel." His leg was recently amputated.
A serious infection from injecting heroin in his leg gave him a difficult choice, he traded his leg for a chance to survive-now he is trading survival for LIFE in Jesus. Coco, like many of the girls, prostitutes to support her habit. She cries as Debbie prays for her. She was attacked with a brick, and is now blind in one eye. The scarring makes it hard "to earn." Debbie hugs her, offers her a tasty "French fancy" and a cup of tea as Coco shyly smiles.
Their bus/kitchen/prayer room/ dining room is a safe place to eat, share and pray. It is a shame-free zone. I could list 20 others we met, but it would take pages. I would ask you to pray for these victims of addiction as well as these TC Kingdom warriors.

REAL FAITH

John Macey

A true Pioneer

John Macey, the visionary director of TC in South Wales invited us to bring a TC Choir team to Belfast, Wales, Scotland and England in 1989.

A highlight of our visit to South Wales was the opportunity to visit with a dear friend and amazing patriarch of Teen Challenge, John Macey, and his wife Ruth. John was one of the pioneers of TC in the UK and around the globe. We loved sharing the Word with him. He still has a tremendous anointing on his life.

HOPE HOUSE
LADIES HOME

We had a tremendous time of ministry as Fiona took Cathy & me to Llanelli, S. Wales to visit the ladies at Teen Challenge Hope House. They were so tender and so HUNGRY FOR GOD. Alicia and her team are doing an amazing work.

HORIZON LIFE
TRAINING SCHOOL

Horizon Life Training school is a cutting edge vocational/spiritual development facility for graduates of Teen Challenge. We met men who have completed college level courses, vocational training with honors, and are making outstanding strides towards location and ministry. More than that. Integrated into the work and training at horizon life is an outstanding evangelism program impacting the city and community.

Bern

My message and preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4

In our last E-votion we talked about the Measure of faith, but we should not miss Paul's emphasis. He did not want their faith to rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. He was raising the question of what real faith is. We last talked about the root of faith, but what of the results of faith.

You will note that in Hebrews he does not say without faith it is tough to please God, or it is difficult. No, Paul says it is impossible. In that sense, since, since faith is significant, we need to consider the evidence that we have "real faith."

Without faith it
is impossible to please God

Hebrews 11:6

Habakkuk: 2:4 reminds us that the just shall live by faith. So, considering its importance, perhaps we should take the time to look for evidence of real faith in our lives. May I suggest 3 evidences of Real Faith.

  1. Real faith motivates
  2. Real faith liberates.
  3. Real faith elevates

Real Faith Motivates.  When you experience Jesus, you cannot remain where you are.  The presence of God will challenge you, to His word, to His promise, to His purpose. You can no longer be satisfied to sit and watch TV or play video game-there is a war going on. The power of God bids us to join Him, to come up higher
Real Faith results in vision and the Word is clear, without vision, the people perish

Real Faith Liberates. I meet people who tell me how they asked Jesus in their heart but make excuses for continuing in sin. But when the real Jesus comes into your heart, what comes out of your life will be different than before His arrival.  If meeting Jesus does not change a life, either they have not met the real Jesus or possibly they are not walking in real faith.  Only Jesus can fix what is broken in me.

When I meet people, who speak judgment on homosexuals, yet they are living with a woman and sexually involved outside of marriage, it is a symptom of phony faith.  When I permit myself to attack other people's sin, as I adjust to and tolerate my own, that is an evidence that I’m not walking in real faith. Sin is sin, It is error to think that God grades on a "curve." Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Real Faith Elevates.  When Jesus met Simon, a man tossed “to and fro,” Jesus said, I will call you Peter, which means Rock.  How does the Simon, "tossed about" become a 'Rock' that Jesus can build on? He exercised real faith. He did not sit on his desires and real faith elevates.

The gospel today seems to be tailored to meet 'felt needs.' Faith does not always meet all of my wants, no matter the confession. But often real faith transforms my wants-elevating them to what He wants. If your faith is not taking you there, it is not real faith.

Faith, like a muscle, needs to be exercised to grow strong. Real faith allows us to see our life in promise as God sees us.  When you meet Jesus and walk in real faith, it elevates.

I have learned that as I turn to Him in transparency and prompt repentance, I see growing evidence of the operation of real faith in my life -- in motivation, liberation elevation.  If you settle for the ordinary you will never see the supernatural.

Hebrew 10:38-39. But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. BUT we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.

That is real faith

A HISTORY OF MIRACLES

TC Great Britain has been at the cutting edge of TC ministry, since their birth. They were leaders in coffee house and residential ministry over 30 years ago. From the first outreaches in Belfast and South Wales, they quickly began to expand across the British Isles. Then, in the early years of Global Teen Challenge, they came alongside as visionary TC pioneers helping from Bombay, India to Swaziland, Africa. Phil Hills has carried on that global vision since taking over following Rev John Macey's retirement. My first Global TC assignment from Brother Don Wilkerson came in 2002 in cooperation with TC United Kingdom to go to Africa.

In 1988, when we were invited to UK, people began to speak prophetically that the UK mission was only the beginning, They shared, that God was going to take us around the world. We are so grateful for all of you who have stood with us in prayer and support over these last 40 years.

TC United Kingdom, was once known for the 32 ministry points with double decker evangelism buses. Their outreach went from needle exchanges to the most violent streets of Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. They have taken it to the next level. They are invading the darkness. They don't visit, they move right in the community to minister hope to the "most hopeless."
