My father and mother have died when I was young. Life
without parents just like a car without steer. I have to go out to
the streets and be free and scavenging rubbish, shine shoes,
perform other jobs as required of earning money for me. I met
a lot of friends out there just the same age as mine. They
introduced me to inhaling glue and I allowed that in my life. I
thought it was feeling very happy inhaling glue.
After a little while, I was brought to a program of World
Vision, Bamboo Shoot project. There, they fed me, schooling
me, and teaching all the good ways to take.
It didn’t take me so long to stay there and I ran back home and
just going to the street again, doing whatever I am free to do.
Until December, 2009, I was helped by my former Bamboo
Shoot project where I used to live with before, helping me to
the Teen Challenge program. They thought that I am fit with
this program.
At the Teen Challenge they ministered to me. They counseled me, and help me to realize the dangerous path I was walking down,
helped me to start taking responsibility for my life and find a good pathway to becoming a constructive
member of society. They taught me all the different skills, so that I can help myself when I graduate from
the program, and another important thing is that they introduced me to God, and it is God who changed me.
The more time I spent at Teen Challenge the stronger my faith in Jesus grew and now I am graduated from
the program and sent to live with Hagar program. There, they promised me to school and my daily food.
I
want to thank Teen Challenge and all their partners for helping me get clean and for this new life I have. Thank you Teen Challenge!" |
