Subj: update on Teen Challenge Uzbekistan

Monday the gov't told me I have a maximum of 10 days to leave the country.  Currently Teen Challenge Uzbekistan is ok, they said the complaint was against me for breaking the law.   I have not broken any laws; last year in between registration they told me to close down the program while I waited for re-registration but I asked for mercy because I could not kick our students out in the streets.

Monday we are moving across the border to Shymkent, Kazakhstan which is a 2 hour drive.  This will allow me to be close to the team and also be able to continue my work at a distance.  For now we will move to Shymkent, to bring our ministry to closure and enable the national staff to take ownership.  Hopefully the gov't will grant TC new registration and they will allow TC to continue.

We will be praying about what is next as our time in Uzbekistan is closing.  Through this God is giving us peace and I feel we have great national staff in place and I feel we have done what God has given us.  I would have liked to have left in my time but God knows what he is doing,

We are currently scrambling trying to get legal documents in order for our leave and also pack a whole house inside a week.

I appreciate your continued prayers for TC's registration with the government.

PRAY FOR KENYA
Please continue to pray for the Martins and staff of Kenya Teen Challenge. Ethnic violence has not slowed. They are ministering at extreme risk. The TC Center opened 2 weeks ago.

Pray the Lord of the harvest to send workers. The world is crying out for answers that only Jesus can give!

MATTHEW 9:36-38 Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
