| Pray for Zellos, Hurricane Earl |

|
Urgent Prayer Request |
I |
I just received an urgent text message from Tim Zello .
Bern ... EMERGENCY! Mom is in ICU
unresponsive ... life threatening
After a follow-up by phone at the hospital , I learned that Kay Zello is currently hospitalized in intensive care in Fredericksburg Virginia. Her situation is critical. She and Mike stopped at a rest stop along Route 95 to use the rest room. When Kay did not come out, Mike ascertained that she was unconscious in the ladies room.
|
|
She fell and struck her head. They are not sure whether a brain injury caused the unconsciousness or is a dramatic brain injury as a result of the fall.
She has a blood clot in her brain. She is unresponsive and in a coma. Though she is very cold, she does respond to pain. She will go in for an MRI in about an hour to determine whether emergency brain surgery will be necessary. |
Please pray for Kay. Mike Jr. , Tim and the family car with seven. The situation is so serious that Jim tells me many of the grandchildren are on their way to the hospital.
Let us agree in prayer for a miracle in this critical hour for our dear friends. We are so grateful for their decades of service for Teen Challenge. This is our opportunity to close ranks in prayer for a miracle in their hour of need. Please stand with them as we fast and pray. |

| A number have written to request how we are doing as we face hurricane Earl. As far as the hurricane goes, Mike and Kay should be all right because Fredericksburg seems far enough in land to avoid the worst of it, but we are battened down and are braced for a hit 1 mile from the water here in Hampton. |
|
Hurricane Earl is a powerful and dangerous Category 4 storm, with sustained winds over 130 mph (217KPH) but they don't know its precise track as it churns ever closer toward the Atlantic Coast today on a path they expect will carry it quickly up the Eastern Seaboard during the next couple of days. Storm surge could be 18 feet (over 5 metres)
Earl is expected to turn northeastward as it begins to interact with a developing trough of low pressure along the East Coast. The official forecast is for the eye of the storm to pass near the barrier islands of North Carolina and Virginian tonight and be near southeastern New England by Friday night.

|
We are watching weather Channel carefully. They just announced that hurricane Earl is a large and in charge. Apparently they have not prayed or they would know that God is in charge. They have announced a hurricane Earl is the strongest hurricane to have her traveled this far north.
|
The local Teen Challenge has been evacuated. I have battened down the house and Cathy is at the Point Plaza , the hotel where she works which.is 10 minutes in land, but our house is about a mile from the coast. We will weather the storm here in Hampton. The most recent report, as the eye wall re-forms, demonstrates some weakening and that the track is turning north and east which is encouraging news.. Continue to stand with us in prayer. Radio and television continue to remind us that Earl is a large, intense and dangerous hurricane.
The risk extends far north of Virginia as, depending on the track, it may hit in the area of Long Island teen challenge as well as New England teen challenge over the next 48 hours. |

|
| Let's believe God for a miracle for the Zello's as God drives the hurricane harmlessly back out to sea |
|
"Do not come to Jesus just for a miracle! Come for a relationship." |
