Thank you so much for all of the hundreds of birthday wishes. I made every effort to answer each skype, Face book & email message to let you know how grateful we are that you stand with us. God has brought me a long way from that angry young man, pictured left. I was delivered from grand larceny charges and came to know Jesus, or more importantly be known by Him. I am so blessed that the power of Jesus Christ delivers from bondage, from alcohol, from sin and self. |

JESUS SET ME FREE! Now I have the opportunity to take that life-changing message around the world. Who could imagine God would bless so much. My dear wife Cathy is a treasure. As we see our three sons continuing in ministry, my beautiful daughter and daughters-in-law to the left, we know that 2012 is a year to believe.
With four grandchildren and partners like you, we are so blessed. Still there is so much to done in 2012. We are ready to step up, look up, and pray up. So join us, we are wheels up for miracles!
Next stop Italy, then Southeast Asia ... on to Africa in April. |

IT IS TIME TO REDIG THE WELLS |
A FRESH CALL TO PRAYER

And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them.

It all takes place so subtly. When we look at Genesis 26:15, we get a picture of why the wells needed to be dug again. It says the Philistines stopped the wells by filling them with dirt
The children of Abraham did not consciously stop the flow, but they lost sight of the reality that as they were enjoying God's blessing and provision, the enemy was coming behind them deliberately, systematically plugging the wells. |
 It all began on
Feb. 9, 1958, when God placed a burden on the heart of David Wilkerson to focus on prayer and spend less time watching TV. He put an advertisement in the newspaper to sell his TV and told the Lord, that if it sells in the first 30 minutes after the newspapers hit homes, that he would know that it was God truly speaking to him to sell it. Before 30 minutes had passed, David Wilkerson received a call and sold his TV.

| We need to be conscious that the enemy, whether the world, the flesh, or the devil, is engaged in a continuing effort to stop the well from which the life of God flows into our lives. Every day forces are arrayed to keep you from noticing when you abandon that which is important for the sake of that which is urgent. In family, career and spiritual life we must be on guard to keep our well unclogged. |
This was the beginning of 19 days of prayer that led to the birth of Teen Challenge. God has spoken to Dr. Jerry Nance and he is inviting leaders to GTC World Headquarters for 24 hour days of intense intercession to lead us to a fresh season of 21 days of prayer, click for details.

The casual dabbling promoted by our culture is "blocking the well" and opening the door to dangerous spiritual bondage all around us. "The devil is a legalist." He is looking for a right to "stop your well" and he doesn't really care about innocent intentions. Playing with occult, with sex outside of covenant marriage, abuse of drugs (illegal or prescribed), pornography even to spice up your marriage, all open the door to spiritual vulnerability. When the church toys with "Harry Potter," movies that glamorize drug abuse and drunkenness, and naive permissiveness, the Philistines are standing by to fill the wells with mud. Leaders who fail to expose sin are just as guilty.
I don't want to take things away. I am not trying to rebuke or judge you, but want to remind you of a "higher yes" for each time we face a choice. We want spiritual reality but when people toy with occult or spiritual counterfeits, it is like a box of cracker jacks... it comes with a free surprise! Misguided innocence leads to bondage. Truth is, we need to re-dig the well because God offers us something much more powerful and authentic than the fragile illusion of this world's satisfaction. Harry Potter does NOT have the power, Jesus does. The power of fear in slasher movies is not your portion, child of god, PEACE is . . .an on and on. |
The "stopping" of the ancient wells that our fathers dug is all around us. In the house of God, is entertainment replacing authentic worship? Has personality driven salesmanship replaced genuine biblical exposition and spiritual Truth? Have we become more concerned with whether a service meets "our needs," than if it addresses God's desire to bring us into wholeness, light and holiness.
Be careful! I promise you there are still Philistines waiting to "stop up your wells." It will take so much more time, effort and energy to re-dig the wells than to guard them. Do not be caught unaware. Expecting to quench your thirst in a time of need. Beware of the tragedy of returning to the ancient well to find that the enemy has closed off the source. As we are praying, I am asking God to help me to re-dig the ancient wells of my life and return to the promise God offers. |

| Cathy ministered on "Love Revealed" at the Women's Ministry Kick-Off on Friday at Calvary Assembly of God. It was exciting to hear the great reports of ladies who shared how much Cathy had sowed into their lives through her ministry of testimony and the word. From high school students to seniors they shared how her ministry impacted their lives. |

Cathy will share some of message on Love Revealed in Cathy's Corner next week as I leave for Italy. It is an exciting time to see women moving into their gifting as a critical part of the Body of Christ these strategic last days. The word of God says of Mary--BLESSED IS SHE WHO DARED TO BELIEVE THAT GOD WOULD ACCOMPLISH WHAT HE PROMISED. |

Monday, January 16, was Martin Luther King Day when our nation recognizes his leadership of the powerful civil rights movement. As we thank God for him we should not forget that it was Dr. King's Christian faith that motivated not only his personal life, but guided his campaign for civil rights. |
During the Birmingham civil rights campaign, Dr. King required every participant to sign a pledge committing to do 10 things. First was to "meditate daily on the teachings and life of Jesus." Others included that all participants would "walk and talk in the manner of love, for God is love" and "pray daily to be used by God in order that all men might be free."
He was God's man who saw a need and through his faith in Jesus Christ engaged it. He was powerfully used by God. We pray more would know, as great as the man of God was, greater still was the God of the man. |

Pray for God's direction as we sort out our 2012 Ministry Schedule
- In January: God willing, I will be in Italy to address the needs of evangelism with the Global Teen Challenge World Board.
- In February: As the Lord provides, Cathy and I will be in Cambodia & Singapore.

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that." (James 4:15)
2) Pray for the Global Teen Challenge meeting of the World Board next week. Pray For vision, wisdom, and provision.
3) Pray for the upcoming intercession gathering in Yucci Alabama in February.
4) ISLAMBAD: Pray for Pakistan. A bomb in the northwest hit vehicles being used by an anti-Taliban militia in the Khyber region, It killed 30 people and wounded 51, according local government official Jamil Khan.
The army has supported the formation of anti-Taliban militias in northwest Pakistan, but the insurgents have ruthlessly attacked the groups over the last two years. Many of the country's bloodiest bombings have targeted militia members or their families.
Islamist militants with links to al-Qaida have carried out hundreds of bombings in Pakistan since 2007, killing many hundreds of soldiers, police, government officials and civilians.
Pray for the safety of Pakistan Teen Challenge. We are prayerfully working details to return to this region of Pakistan in the FALL

9) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
