Rock the Block, Dominican Republic was a tremendous time of ministry with Jimmy Jack Ministries and Santiago Teen Challenge click for ALBUM |

The Hope and Destiny Crusade in Dominican Republic not only helped Teen Challenge Santiago to forge a dynamic relationship with church and community leaders, but offered hope, healing, and the power of God to addicts and their families across the island. It was wonderful to be joined by Duane Henders the Latin American Caribbean Representative for Global Teen Challenge and Mike Zello. Thousands of lives were impacted by the powerful music and ministry. The police department declared that the final night of the crusade was the largest concert gathering in the history of the city of Santiago.

It was great to attend Press Forward, the Teen Challenge USA National Conference. It was an exciting time of ministry, fellowship, and worship. I had a wonderful time rekindling friendships built over 30 years of Teen Challenge Ministry Over 300 came together to celebrate the continuing miracles of 52 years of Teen Challenge Ministry of United States. Teen Challenge USA now has over 200 residential Centers with over 7,000 beds in the United States.
Current President Mike Hodges is moving on to new ministry challenges, Rev. Jack Smart, who has served faithfully at Mid America Teen Challenge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for several decades will be taking the reins as the president of Teen Challenge USA.

|
| One of the highlights of the conference was seeing the mantle of leadership pass to Jack Smart as Bro Mike Hodges laid his hands on him. The following day, as Bro Smart washed the feet of Teen Challenge leaders and a student, his servant's heart came through. It is clear that God's hand is on the next decades of Teen Challenge International, USA should the Lord tarry. http://pressforwardconference.com |

Miracles Cuba 2010
I am off to Camilo Cienfuegos, outside of Havana, for a major youth convention. It will be 8 days of exciting ministry and we appreciate your prayers as we are impacting young lives under the heel of an oppressive communist government. |
|
For security reasons, Pastor Derrys has asked me to not release details of my schedule in Cuba. We pray that you stand with us for an exciting time of Ministry for thousands of young people.
This is truly an exciting time in the Kingdom as God is opening doors around the world. |

PRAYER
FOCUS
2010 |
1) Please pray for me. I am stranded in the Atlanta airport AGAIN. I looks like I am on the floor overnight. Trying to make connections to get home to Newport News, my flight out of Branson Missouri ran late. I would've made the connection, except the gate staff sent me to Terminal D for my connecting flight. Wrong terminal. Then when I ran back to terminal C the departures screen sent me to Gate 8. There I tried to board, but my ticket would not scan. The gate agent, standing under the" Newport News" sign asked me to wait for a supervisor. Five minutes later the supervisor said, "You are at the wrong gate. Run to gate 18. When I got there the plane was in the gate, but the door was closed. (Hmmmm. I hope not getting me ready for the after life)
Ahh yes, the glamour of being a missionary! Another night in a chair when I just wanted to get home to my Cathy and tomorrow, lunch with my son Peter who came in from Maryland to see me. Now just a quick 18 hour turnaround to do laundry before I leave for Cuba. Well, 3 AM, time to nap, at least I got E-ntercession out . . .
2)u Please pray for the ministry in Cuba. I will leave 5 AM Monday for Havana and then from there drive to Cienfuegos. I will minister, preach, sing and rap in a number of churches, on the street and in the Youth Convention. Please pray as I continue to translate my RAPs into Spanish and memorize them.
3) _ Please pray for the continuing ministry of Global Teen Challenge around the world. The strategic planning sessions led by Rick Sousa were a wonderful time of encouragement with a decisive tactical focus. Under Dr Nance's leadership we are looking at the needs of over 200 million addicts worldwide. Despite only 5 loaves and 2 fishes in our hands and the power of God at work in you, our partners, we know the greatest miracles are still ahead of us.
4)__ Please pray for over one thousand that received Jesus at the Jimmy Jack Hope and Destiny Crusade and Santiago Block Santiago as well as the Men's and Women's Teen Challenge Centers there. We are excited, not only for the thousands are receiving Christ, but the continuing legacy of Teen Challenge in the City and their partnership with Long Island and Minnesota Teen Challenge who is launching the new Center in Haiti
5) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” |
