"Fear not," two words to the shepherds. God was at work in the earth through the supernatural birth of His Son. When God manifested this work, their first reaction was not faith, but fear. Circumstances in your life may seem to spin out of control, but you can receive the message of the Angel this Christmas. "Fear Not." God is at work.

We aren't celebrating Christmas, we are celebrating Christ Himself. This is not the birth of a Holiday, it is the Birth of the KING! FOCUS FOR

DECEMBER

1) Please pray for families to be protected from commercialism during this holiday season. May the true meaning of Christmas and Christ's His love permeate our hearts, bring families together, and reveal that gifts purchased with debit and credit cards are no substitute for a father's time and presence. Christmas is God's reminder that he engaged us when we needed HIM most. He gave a gift more valuable than we could have ever asked, that we might realize that He loves us more than we will ever know.

2) Pray for Teen Challenge students around the world. This is a difficult time for many students as sentimental pressures to run home to "have Christmas" with their families becomes a snare to entrap them with the addictions of their past. We are teaching them to invest this Christmas as a deposit in character, not sentiment and emotion. If they can give this one Christmas, they can build a foundation for a life-time of Christmases. Pray for their strength to "FINISH STRONG."

3) Please pray for James Lowans as he prepares for a mission In January returning to Thailand and Vietnam for follow up meetings on plans to open TC. He also will be meeting with officials from Laos.

4) Pray for the Dennis Griffith family. While Dennis is at home, in heaven, the pain felt by his wife, lovely daughters and family, as well as Teen Challenge Southern California and Teen Challenge friends around the word is real.

5) Please pray for Pretti, wife of Rhavy Nursimulu, Chairman of the board of Mauritius, who is recovering.

6) Please pray for Siberia Teen Challenge that is still in a major battle to get heat for their Church and Center. They are demanding a $30,000 payment. They have continued to pray. They wrote to the Siberian Governor and to President Medvedev.  Interestingly, the President's administration wrote a letter to the governor's office, asking them to check into this situation.  They just received a call from the heating company asking them to come in for a meeting -- the church and Teen Challenge continue to meet in spite of temperatures of 30 below zero.

7) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
