HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Philippians 1:3-5 Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of THANKS to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message. (The Message) |

We want you to know, we are THANKFUL for you! Among the many blessings that God has bestowed on us this year, we stand in awe and in gratitude for the wonderful brothers and sisters that support and pray for us. We cannot do it without you! As we celebrate Thanksgiving, please know that YOU are one of the blessings for whom we are most thankful. |
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to your name, oh most high; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night. Ps. 92:1-2
WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR?
GIVE THE LORD A SHOUT!!

Thanksgiving is an important holiday in America. The first settlers overcame many obstacles to come to Plymouth in 1620 in search of religious freedom.
About half died in route or during the first winter. Only 1/2 dozen were strong enough to plant that first crop. The
First Thanksgiving celebration and feast in 1621 lasted three
days, a time of food, gifts, prayer, songs, and games; being united as one---the Pilgrims and the Indians. It was a time of thankfulness and reflection. |
LIBERIA
MISSION
|
The Liberian people are an amazing and resilient people. The steering committee is working hard, trusting God, and moving forward to launch a new Center to meet the needs of those carrying the scars of a post war nation. We built a web site and details are available at www.tcliberia.org |

Interesting as what we were taught in school above, the first Thanksgiving, was actually celebrated 2 years earlier in Jamestown. On December 4, 1619, English settlers arrived 20 miles downstream from Jamestown, the first permanent settlement of the Colony of Virginia, established May 14, 1607. The group's charter required that the day of arrival be observed as a "day of thanksgiving" to God. On that first day, Captain John Woodleaf held the service of Thanksgiving. As we reflect on my safe return from Liberia, the connections grow. Between 1820 and 1865 more than 3700 African Americans from Virginia, freed slaves, emigrated to Liberia to plant the first Christ centered democracy in West Africa. Now, almost 200 years later, God sends me from Virginia to Liber
ia to partner in FREEDOM. |
We are excited about the powerful ministry of Todd and Kelly who came with the Full Gospel Airlift from Minneapolis TC. It is amazing to see how the FGBMFI leaders from Nigeria are sowing into the business community of Liberia with the gospel. |

US President, Abraham Lincoln Wrote, "I do invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, those who are at sea, and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.

The circumstances that invited America to Thanksgiving in 1863 may have been different. While we may not be in a time of CIVIL WAR, circumstances in this divided nation, the war on terror, Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq and our economy in a troubled world call all of us to a fresh dose of prayer and THANKSGIVING.. |
|
This developing relationship may serve to unleash the considerable power of FGBMFI in partnership with Teen Challenge to impact the drug pandemic across West Africa. Todd and Kelly were fearless as Apostle Syd Weah, Charles Obieze, and the team led us into dangerous territory where no white man had ministered after dark in the last 20 years. |

It was almost 100 degrees in one evening service. Over 200 crammed into a building that could only hold 150. In the light of a 40 watt bulb, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully as Kelly shared her story of abuse, addiction and deliverance with this "war-torn" nation. We saw the healing of Jesus move across culture and race as I preached ... PRAISE GOD |

I taught a Bible study in the ghetto to the "mothers" who have been praying for Teen Challenge Liberia. |
So many have been raised in 20 years of war and violence, they do not know what true peace is, they are hungry for love. |
We saw demon manifestations in the churches, on the street and in the ghettos. Even this small child had been given to Satan by his mother. |

PARTNER
PRAYER
FOCUS FOR
NOVEMBER |
1) STOP AND THANK GOD FOR at least 10 blessings today. Things we take for granted here like water and electricity are only a distant dream for many in Africa and around the world.
2) PRAY for mercy-for the safety of our great nation and our soldiers who serve in harsh conditions in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world. Pray for them as we enjoy their protection in this God blessed land, remembering that freedom is never FREE.
3) Pray for the new steering committee that Mike Zello is establishing for the Teen Challenge in Tanzania and the powerful continuing work of John and Annie Martin in Nairobi, Kenya.
4) Pray for safety for the workers of Teen Challenge around the world and the ministry of Kenya Teen Challenge as well as preparations for the launch of the new center in Tanzania.
5) Please pray for the family of Billy Jo Daugherty who has gone home to be with the Lord.
A wonderful man of God has gone too soon home to be with the Lord. While we mourn our loss, we honor a life of ministry and Kingdom service.
6) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” |
