Dear friends, family & partners,
Thank you for your continuing prayers and partnership. The second half of 2009 has been so busy with four scheduled trips to Africa for Bern, but we are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will be glad to be back together Please pray for his lungs and heart as he is recovering from the flu and Bronchitis.

BERN SHARES: As wonderful as the ministry in Swaziland was, it is good to be home for a few weeks. I realized that I forgot to include a photo of the graduating class from the Leadership Training School for the Southern before so I wanted to share this one. click for an enlargement.
We had a great week on ministry and Celebration at Camp Champion with Bro Wilkerson, Jimmy Jack, Brooklyn TC Long Island Teen Challenge and Albany. I am preparing for the Honor Bound Men's Conference and a week in New Orleans for their fall fund raising banquets and Spiritual IMPACT before I fly to Liberia and Ghana to meet with Apostle Syd and the Liberia steering committee as part of the FGBMFI Airlift and then on to Monrovia, Ghana.

SPIRITUAL IMPACT CAMP CHAMPION
We had a powerful time of ministry and a special 70'th Birthday Celebration for Bro Wilkerson. God moved in a special way. Teaching by Pastor Bill Kirk, New York District Council, Jesse Owens and Brother Don highlighted the ministry time. The Birthday Celebration was incredible as we reflected on Bro Don and Cindy's 50 years of service and sacrifice to pioneer and develop Teen Challenge as it grew to over 85 countries worldwide.

Liberia has recently ended a 20 years period of Civil War. The Population is fractured and the government is struggling. We will join Fr. Roger Sonnesyn and Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship for a National Convention. |

FOCUS FOR
SEPTEMBER |
1) Please pray for the new Center Opportunities in AFRICA ... Ghana, Liberia, Tanzania and Botswana and Zambia and faithful laborers are working hard to see the ministry launched in their nation.
2) Pray for the LTI Graduates as they return to their centers and Ministries to apply the training they have received. AS WE SAY: Learn it Today-Apply it for a lifetime.

3) Pray the new steering committee that Mike Zello is establishing for the new Teen Challenge in Tanzania and powerful continuing work of John ad Annie Marin in Nairobi Kenya. Pray for details are we prepare to leave for meetings in Liberia and Ghana for the launch of 2 new centers.
4) Pray for safety for the workers of Teen Challenge around the world and the ministry of Kenya Teen Challenge as well as preparations for the launch of the new center in Tanzania
5) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” |
