Dear Partners,
We delight in the hand of God as we have crisscrossed this Island, ministering to men and women, on the streets, in the schools and in the church. We had a tremendous, ground- breaking Mauritius Teen Challenge Board meeting with Assemblies of God officials. We were delighted to see continued progress with their memorandum of understanding. In addition. Mauritius Teen Challenge, after 9 months of work, has been granted "official standing" and official incorporation by the diverse Mauritius government... amazing for a Christian ministry.

Steve came first, The team arrived of Friday' 22 May. From New Orleans Teen Challenge, Greg and Eric Dill, Mike Zello, All Africa coordinator for GTC, with Jessica, Mike's granddaughter and Jordan Crews from Lee University. They were a tremendous asset, not only with "Stay Sharp" in the schools, but in altar and outreach ministry through all 25 school and street meetings. On the first Sunday we split up and did 9 services across the Island .

This was a strategic time for Mauritius. Even though the government refused the permit for the National Crusade with the Assemblies of God at PLAZA, after we arrived... within 5 days God had turned that around and the Municipal Council granted the use of Plaza. Unfortunately, 6 days as it was before the event, was too late to "pull it off," but the groundwork has been laid for the future. The emerging Mauritius Teen Challenge coordinated , but also for Teen Challenge and the Mauritius Assemblies of God.

Thank you for praying and supporting this ministry of TEEN CHALLENGE in North India. I know you are in MAURITIUS just now-I am regularly praying for you BECAUSE IT IS A HINDU STRONG HOLD. The TC graduation service on 10 May-09.
10 drug addicts graduated who got saved,baptized and finished the one year Teen Challenge program.
4 of the10 are going to bible college.
2 of them will study in secular schools.
2 are going into business.

1. 97 addicts saved, baptized, living for Jesus.
2. 24 former drug addicts study in bible colleges
3. 9 have completed bible college in India,
. . . . and are pastoral pioneer in North India.
4. 5 are working in ministry for Lucknow TC.
5. 24 drug addicts in residence

It began with the man above. We were tired, in the van and ready for the 90 minute drive home. I heard the cry, "Pray please."

We shared with hundreds of students in STAY SHARP prevention rallies in middle & high schools across the Island. It is a powerful new tool.

1) Pray for the follow-up ministry in MAURITIUS- in May and June as the engage the hundreds that came to Christ. from the street rallies in the six major drug area MAURITIUS is a fertile field and with your prayers God is going to continue to shake that island by HIS power. Agree with me for a mighty wave rolling like a tsunami of love and grace to Seychelles and then Reunion Island. Hallelujah!

2)Lucknow had their 9 th TEEN CHALLENGE graduation service on the 10 th of May. 10 addicts who got saved, baptized, and finished the one year Teen Challenge program. Please pray for the graduates of Lucknow Teen Challenge as they move on to home and Bible College. Pray for the completion of their new Building, offices, dorm, and staff quarters

4 of the10 are going on to bible college.
2 will study in secular schools.
2 are going into business.

LUCKNOW URGENT NEEDS
1. Scholarships for 4 bible college students($285 each)
2. To buy two more buffalos(one costs$610)
3. $41,000 needed to complete the Multi-purpose -building

3) Pray for Pakistan Teen Challenge. As the Paskistani army is taking control of Pashawer from the Taliban that Mark Brink and his team can reopen the Teen Challenge there.

4) Pray for continued focus with FRESH VISION as the Global Teen Challenge Executive Board meets in Yucci Alabama this week.

5) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
