Dear Intercessors,
Finally arrived in New York City. What a trip! With the East Coast snow storm Snow storm, we flew from VA to New York City's Laguardia. We circled for 90 minutes in a holding pattern for the one remaining runway. The pilot announced, "We are running low on fuel, we need to return to Virginia."
When we got to Virginia, that airport was closed. So they said, "We will fly to Atlanta Georgia." I'm not sure if the pilot knew the mic was on but he said," I am pretty sure we have enough fuel to get there."
I shouted, "
What do you mean, 'pretty sure,' from the back.
We finally got to Atlanta safely and it was a mad house- anyway- they finally flew me to New Jersey and 8 hours -three trains later I was in New Your City,The normal 2 hour strip took 13 hours. |

I am scheduled to go to Trinidad in 4 weeks. We have been on the phone with Nyron and Vashti and experiencing the anticipation of the birth of their new baby with them. Wednesday morning we even joked about her Braxton Hicks contractions and she was laughing when I suggested what the name of her baby should be. "After alI, " I joked," 'Bernadine' is a great name for a girl." SUDDENLY! Six hours later, the E mail to the right flashed on my computer screen from Nyron, the executive director of Trinidad Teen Challenge. The autopsy has confirmed a Placental Abruption with massive hemorrhage. |

Thousands around the world prayed for Nyron and Baby Vashti. I am so glad Nyron had the chance to spend time with the baby.
He shared, "I saw her, I touched her, I prayed with her. She is so beautiful!"
She fought valiantly but Mondaay morning Baby Vashti flew from the arms of her earthly father, to her Father in heaven. Nyron and Sharona will appreciate your prayers. As frontline Teen Challenge Missionaries living by faith, Vashti and Nyronhad no life insurance for funeral expenses. Please pray about this and if you want to send a gift, it can be send directly to Trinidad Teen Challenge in Nyron's name. |
While it is impossible to understand events like this with our human understanding, now we must remember Baby Vashti's middle name .... FAITH. In times when we cannot understand, we can trust. Trust is the seed that grows into HOPE. ICor 13 says "These 3 things abide, FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE." Life is temporal, but these three are eternal and they never disappoint us. |

Had a great chat with Jonatan Vlaisavljevic from Macedonia, who called on SKYPE bursting with excitement over developments in Macedonia. He met with future President and God is doing exciting things. Skopje is the capitol city of Macedonia. Jonatan serves on the Skopje City Council board. God is using him mightily.
They are even doing "LIVING FREE" is Russian Orthodox churches. |

Paul had a vision of a man in Macedonia crying for help almost 2,000 years ago.
He heard their cry come and help us, Jonatan has answered that call.
Let us continue to stand with him and his team as they are Kingdom Warriors at the front lines --or perhaps we should say, behind enemy lines. |

Jonatan has offered his advisory skills to the president and the assistance of Teen Challenge to reach addicts in the country. Now they will have a hand in crafting National Drug Policy. Pray God will continue to use them! They are seeking people to join their team to help the develop micro enterprises and sustainability project to train students and fund the ministry. Use of the Teen Challenge Curriculum has now been extended to other programs and churches. The curriculum department can give you key elements in the organization and use of the curriculum. Many centers that I have traveled to are using the Group Studies for New Christians, but I also encourage you to use the Personalized Studies.
When I directed the Teen Challenge Rehrersburg Choir that traveled nationally, using the contract and Personalized Studies were a key for the discipleship while we were on the road. This e-blast will keep you at the cutting edge. |

Israel
I received and exciting update from New England's Jimmie Hufnagle who is volunteering in Israel right now. (jimmyhuf@hotmail.com). He reports that Richard Brogden, a long standing AGWM missionary and powerful man of God (richardsoula@yahoo.com) is working with a tremendous board.
Plans are underway to launch a men's and women's program. Security considerations do not permit me to say more than that they are strategic opportunities. Pray as they are talking with a couple about starting the women's home in Galilee.

Join New Orleans Teen Challenge Executive Director, Greg Dill, Darmen Elleya, and the dedicated team in Port Louis as they prepare for the launch of Teen Challenge Mauritius.Even though the CIA fact sheet describes Mauritius as an Island paradise, paradise is burning as the young generation is being drawn into drugs, alcohol, sex and all sorts of bondage. Ranked number 2 in the world in heroin addiction by the United Nations UNDOC, and cited with increasing human rights violations for failure to provide treatment for those trapped by addiction, they are looking for answers and Teen Challenge is offering legitimate answers in real time. |

The island of Mauritius is located 2,000 km off East Africa, southwest of the Indian Ocean. Ten times the size of Washington DC, it is home to 1.2 million people that form a mosaic of race, culture and religion. French speaking Hindu Island. With a diverse, splintered, and militant religious population, (Hindu 48%, Roman Catholic 23.6%, Muslim 16.6%, other Christian 8.6%), We need French or Creole speaking volunteers as well as musicians, video, rappers, altar workers.

1) Please pray. Nyron Dinoo, his daughter Sharona and the entire Teen Challenge family during this time of tremendous pain at the death of his Vashti and the loss of their beautiful second daughter. Sharona was very close to her mommy and was very excited about the new little sister that was coming to be with them. We cannot know their pain, but we can share their burdens in prayer.
2) Pray for the ministry in Mauritius in May as we host the crusade and street Rallies in the six major drug areas and a climaxing in the stadium at the nation's capitol. (see detail above). They are a fertile field and I believe God is going to shake that Island by HIS power and from there I see the wave rolling like a tsunami of love and grace to Seychelles and then Reunion Island Hallelujah!
3) Pray for preparations for the August Jimmy Jack Crusade and Rock the Block Evangelistic Services in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Pray that Dr Ron Kenoly will be able to clear his schedule to join us as we partner with Kenya Teen Challenge and the TAG to launch a new TC in Dar Es Salaam. We need to lock in dates for Kamukunji Grounds and Jangwani for the ministry times as well as locating sound systems capable of covering 50 to 75,000 people.
4) Wonderful news from Steve Hill as we have learned that he did well with his treatments in Houston. He will be participating in a large pastor's conference this week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he'll be speaking twice with pastors and leaders from all over. He asks that we cover him in prayer.
5) Please pray for Mike Zello. Following lumbar surgery he continues to experience a great deal of pain.
6) Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 86 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
MATTHEW 37-3 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
