Thanks to all of you who prayed during my recent illness after Africa.
Good news:
I have recovered completely and it was not malaria.
The bad news: I gave it to Cathy but praise God she has recovered too.

AN AFRICAN PROVERBS ASKS ... HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?
The simple answer ... one bite at a time. After amazing meetings in Tanzania and Kenya, we now climb through the logistical elephants of site arrangements, multimedia, printing, translating, and team mobilization. Sometimes it seems like an insurmountable challenge, but you tackle the job, just like eating an elephant . . .one bite at a time.
God is there to help you with your elephants too, one bite at a time. Fear not!
He gives to each of us enough grace to take us through each day.

carnivor dinner Speaking of one bite at a time, in Africa we feasted on such delicacies as monkey gland rump steak, crocodile tail and ostrich balls. The food there was remarkably good. Pictured right, Bernard (a fine name) stood in for John Martin to guide us across the dangerous Kenyan roads in the TC Land Rover. Am I the only one, be honest, who can see the family resemblance between my brother from another mother and me -- 2 Bernards -- Kingdom work. Bernard & Bernard
Pray for the committee leaders as they reach across denominational lines to prepare for crusades in Tanzania and Kenya. The vision in these countries reaches far beyond the crusades to the launch of a new men's home in Dar Es Salaam and possibly adding a new women's home in Kenya. In Tanzania, with committee chairmen appointed and Jangwani Grounds (which will hold 100,000 people) scheduled, our greatest challenge is to identify adequate sound reinforcement. Pray for the committee members. In Kenya we are re-evaluating the site after local officials advised that Kamukunji grounds may be too dangerous. Pray as leaders sort out using this site or other options such as Huruma and Makandara Grounds. Tanzania meeting

LIFE MAURITIUS

Join Executive Director Greg Dill Director of new Orleans Teen Challenge, Darmen Elleya and the dedicated team preparing the launch of Teen Challenge Mauritius.Even though the CIA fact sheet describes Mauritius as an Island paradise, paradise is burning as the young generation is being drawn into drugs, alcohol, sex and all sorts of bondage. Ranked number 2 in the world in heroin addiction by the United Nations UNDOC, and cited with increasing human right violations for failure to provide treatment for those trapped by addiction, they are looking for answers and Teen Challenge is offering legitimate answers in real time.
You can join us for 7 days of miracles. Pray that a French speaking team from Defi Jeuness (Teen Challenge) in Quebec can join us. The island of Mauritius is located 2,000 km off East Africa, southwest of the Indian Ocean. Ten times the size of Washington DC, it is home to 1.2 million people that form a mosaic of race, culture and religion. French speaking Hindu Island. With a diverse, splintered, and militant religious population, (Hindu 48%, Roman Catholic 23.6%, Muslim 16.6%, other Christian 8.6%), We need French or Creole speaking volunteers as well as musicians, video, rappers, altar workers.

PRAYER

FOCUS

1) Please pray for Mike Zello. Following lumbar surgery he is progressing well, but even with all he is doing in Africa we need for him to take his time to rest as he heals.
2) Annie Martin, wife of Executive Director John Martin, is recovering from February 11, cancer surgery. She is a real hero as she has sent Bro John back to Kenya to care for the needs of Teen Challenge. Bro John shared:

"The first report from the doctors was that the surgery went well and when they checked the lymph nodes they found NO cancer.  If it had spread to the lymph nodes then we would have had other issues to deal with.   I want to thank you for all of your prayers.  We give God all the glory for protecting Anne.  I am declaring that God’s healing touch has brought Anne this far."
3) Pray for preparations for the August Jimmy Jack Crusade and Rock the Block Evangelistic Services in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Pray that Dr Ron Kenoly will be able to clear his schedule to join us as we partner with Kenya Teen Challenge and the TAG to launch a new TC in Dar Es Salaam. We need to lock in dates for Kamukunji Grounds and Jangwani for the ministry times as well as locating a Sound systems capable of covering 50 to 75,000 people.
4) Pray for Steve Hill as we have learned that he has asked us to postpone the upcoming Steve Hill crusades in Nairobi , Kenya and Monrovia, Liberia for health reasons.
5) Pray for workers for the Harvest ... we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 43 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.
MATTHEW 37-3 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

~~~~~~~~ Thank you for your partnership! ~~~~~~~~~~
We could not do it without your prayers and support.
