! 2008 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 2009 !

2008 has been a fantastic year. We could not have done it without you. Some of you have stood with us through 30 years of Teen Challenge ministry, some have joined our E-ntercession family the last two weeks. We all share the miracles. In 2007 God gave my life back, as I survived five massive pulmonary embolisms from excessive transatlantic air flight.

BUT when God raised me up from that ICU and I came home, doctors said that the cardiac and pulmonary damage were so severe, that I would never be able to return to international missionary outreach in 2008. They said the valves in the veins of my legs were gone and could not move the blood when standing or flying. Well, God has the last word. Through your prayers and support the 2008 results are in: ministry on 5 continents! God raised me from that death bed with a promise: You will not die, you shall live and declare my glory to the nations (Psalm 118:17) and we are still going, still declaring. 2009 IS HERE, THE YEAR OF OPPORTUNITY!

This New Years Eve I am with the Global TC Team here at the
Chi Alpha World Missions Summit in Ohio as 6,000 secular college Students have gathered to seek God for THE MISSION. Their challenge, "Give a year, pray about a lifetime." Their motto, "Every student goes, gives, prays!" In 1971, as Chi Alpha president on a secular campus, a prayer of consecration changed my life. While I would much rather be at home, praying in the new year with my wife Cathy, my children and grandchildren, the Holy Spirit has communicated to my heart the strategic need to be here with these students to "pray in" this year! 2009 is a year of OPPORTUNITY.

What do you think 2009 means? As we see the prophetic time clock winding down, we cannot "duck and run."
It is time to reach out! As I shared today, "Some of you are already packing your bags for heaven, It is not time to run yet. Lets pack our bags for outreach!
Missions is the heartbeat of the Almighty.

The year 2009 has biblical significance. 1000 is always a number of completion, the number "9" is . . .

There are nine gifts of the spirit (1 Cor. 12:8-10):
word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

The Fruit Of The Spirit, The nine visible attributes of a true Christian life: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control.
It is a year to know the power of the Spirit in gifting, character,and in the fruit that we bear for Jesus Christ.

This move of the spirit is accompanied by God at work in judgment. NINE is a NUMBER OF JUDGMENT. There are 9 Greek words derived from the root word meaning judgment = dikay and the following words each occur 9 times in the Bible: abussos (bottomless pit); asebee (ungodly); aselgeia (lasciviousness); and astrapee (lightning).

It is time to step up, pray up and move up in 2009.
There is no time for FEAR, don't just make a New year's Resolution, make a Spirit led, "RES-VOLUTION."
It is time to exercise faith and believe God.
Unbelief puts our circumstances between us and God.
Faith puts God between us and our circumstances.
Wisdom is vision to see what to do NEXT.
SO PRAY ... because prayer changes our vision.
When we fail to pray we do not see things as THEY are
___. . . we see things as WE are.
Prayer either changes things for you ...
or changes you, with perseverance to change things. And with this comes the promise of Philippians 4:1
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
