VICTORY REPORT

What amazing miracles as we joined Johannes Amritzer and the MISSION SOS team for 10 days of supernatural ministry & outreach in Antananarivo. Through the power of God, the Signs and Wonders Festival team of 300 missionaries from around the world, including 19 amazing Africa TC leaders shattered all expectations.

In Alarobia Stadium

Over 137,000 people reached
55,000 on Final Night

29,000 1st time commitments

And on the street

35,412 reached on the street
8,307 first time-commitments
1,496 documented healings.

We are grateful for the sacrifices of the African TC folks who joined us and the partnership of Mission SOS.
With these incredible numbers and the impact on the masses, we never lose sight of the miracle of the "one." nor the law of reproduction as we continue to carry fresh fire back to the centers across Africa!

The founder of Mission SOS, Johannes, is a graduate of Sweden Teen Challenge over 25 years ago. We are delighted to partner and connect our TC team with his amazing paradigm of supernatural ministry. This is my fourth festival. God has spoken to the SOS team and they have a prophetic mandate to host festivals in every African capitol City. Perhaps your TC, church or a team would like to join us in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, November 4-14, or Kigali, Rwanda in July 2018.
AFRICA TEAM MINISTERS IN MADAGASCAR
Our Africa team, led by Jacobus Nomdoe, Africa Regional Director, along with Willy Rumenera, East Africa Regional Director (Rwanda) and other leaders from South Africa, Cote D'Ivoire, Kenya, Mauritius, and Uganda joined over 300 missionaries from around the world in Antananarivo.
Please pray for lasting fruit. As significant as the impact of the Festival on the nation, all of us will carry the mantle of supernatural ministry back to our nations and TC Centers- then on to Rwanda in August, and Ethiopia in November.

Anxiety
This is a wonderful devotional from our daughter Sara.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you...
I Peter 5:7

Anxiety. The word has become so common today that we can all relate to its crippling effects. I am not talking about "fear" or even "stress." No, it has a name, and its name is "anxiety." Just the sound of the word can dredge up memories from our past, circumstances or situations we face today, or even fears for the future.

What is anxiety? It is the feeling that a mom gets as she sees her schedule, so full of activities that it seems impossible to juggle all of the demands. It is what a man feels when he learns his job is being "phased out" at the end of the year - and it is almost Thanksgiving, a child’s pain when their normal routine of life is disrupted by tragedy or family turmoil. I could go on and on.

Anxiety has many triggers and many faces. But one thing I have learned by experience: anxiety is a diversion, never a solution. Anxiety has never gotten anyone the job they needed, helped them to sleep when insomnia shatters their nights, or provided the wisdom to help a child through a difficult stage. No, anxiety is not an ally.

Anxiety is simply a pair of distorted glasses that cloud our vision, distract our view, and torment us with an ever-deepening sense of our own inadequacy. Instead of bringing things into focus, or illuminating solutions, anxiety glasses make our situations seem insurmountable and cripple our ability to see what God is doing. I hate to admit that I have donned these trendy specs far too often, and never with good results!

I've sat with friends who "settled" for a life controlled by the roller-coaster of anxiety and doubt, believing, “That is just the way it is." Anxiety is common, but it does not have to be the status quo.  I have “been there” so I am in no way belittling anxiety’s power.  On the contrary, I acknowledge that anxiety can be so strong that it seems impossible to overcome in our own abilities-- but there is hope. Just as physical pain is evidence that something is wrong in my body, anxiety is an emotional signal that I cannot process  “my life” in my own strength.

So then, what can we do when anxiety knocks?

Simply put, we turn to God’s word. If we will just turn to the Bible, life is an “open book test.“  Stand on the promises of God. Jesus, who promised to give us the Holy Spirit as comforter and counselor, IS our hope. It is this Hope that defeats anxiety.

Anxiety never solves the issues that trigger it
- Jesus does. In the end, God has always provided the right job at the perfect time (more than once!) He sold our house when it seemed a sale was "unlikely" at best. He has healed more wounds, both physical and emotional, than I can share here. He can be trusted to continue to work out every situation I face, "for the good of those who love Him."(Rom 8:28).
He is ALWAYS faithful.

Jesus has lovingly and graciously taught me a powerful truth. The less I accept anxiety's presence in my heart and the more I choose to walk in the confident hope that He is my ultimate source, the easier it becomes to maintain the freedom and peace that is His promise.  (Phil 4:4-9) As I remove the distorted glasses of anxiety, I am free to see clearly the many  ways God is working on my behalf every day. God is ever at work, either to change my circumstances or to change me though my circumstances.

That peace and confidence is my prayer.  It is my prayer for my family, my friends, a culture plagued by the current epidemic of anxiety, and myself. I pray that we would each embrace what Paul describes as the Hope that "does not disappoint us," because God has poured out His love in our hearts through the Holy Spirit whom He has given us." (Romans 5:5) It is ours for the taking.

Sleep well, friends. In the words of my husband, Bernie Gillott IV, God's "got this!”

CHURCH MINISTRY

It was a delight to connect with three of the pastors who were with us at the leadership training Institute in Nairobi--Zafimahery Rakotohasimbola , Pastor Joasy Rambeloson, Mahefa Fredy and see how their ministry continues to grow. They are having an amazing impact on Madagascar. We ministered in Pastor Joasy and Pastor Fredy’s church on the two Sunday mornings that we were in Madagascar.

It was an amazing blessing to be with Pastor Mahefa. Ministering in the center of a slum called West Texas. It is the "Wild West" of Antananarivo, Madagascar. When he planted his church, death, violence & drugs ruled the neighborhood. Local gang members testified how he fearlessly ministered Jesus, freedom from drugs, and deliverance. It was a 1 km walk from the main road to the "Texas" A/G, but great to see how God has totally changed this neighborhood.

At the altar hundreds responded for prayer.
PASTOR'S AWARENESS MEETING

With Global Teen Challenge Africa Regional Director, Jacobus Nomdoe and Willy Rumenera, we met local leaders with a vision to reach the addicted. While ministering on the street, we found so many struggling with alcohol or drugs. The Pastor's Awareness meeting, planned as an intimate meeting for 25 local leaders including Campus Crusade for Christ, A/G Pres. and Pentecostal/Evangelical leaders, grew to over 100 pastors. In the end, when word got out, Pastor Bithou and Pastor Rijamamy had over 200 requests to join the meeting. It is our prayer that the groundwork for Living Free and Teen Challenge have been laid for Dr Nomdoe and the Africa team as they cast vision and follow up.

We are so grateful for Sam and Tanjona Poongavanon from Mauritius who helped so much with meeting logistics as well as hours of translating in French and Malagasy. Our team could not work without the translators who came to the street and field with us everyday. I appreciate the YWAM translators, Fee & Sahondra, who served Cathy & I so faithfully.

STREET MINISTRY

Our team of African leaders were shared among the 20 mission teams and split up as we went to the street every day. We recorded 8,307 first-time confessions of faith in Jesus as teams went right to the street with the good news of the gospel

1) ANTANANARIVO, MADAGASCAR MISSION SOS

With over 172,000 people reached and more than 27,000 first-time confessions of faith, it is our heart to see the Holy Spirit continue to reconcile religious, tribal, and political differences in this poverty ravaged, politically torn nation. Madagascar has experienced a decline in most social and economic indicators, and remains one of the poorest countries in the world. A large segment of the population has experienced nattural disasters, international economic shocks, malnutrition or sickness and the situation has deteriorated considerably. As we prayed with leaders, they confided that they battle institutional decay, widespread corruption and illegal trafficking The huge cyclone that hit earlier this year has only made things worse. Pray with us for a continuing move of God as those who committed their lives to Christ are contacted by the pastors and follow-up workers..

2) MADAGASCAR-Pastor's Awareness

Please pray that the seeds of interest concerning Teen Challenge will flourish in those with a passion to reach the lost, broken and addicted in Madagascar. One pastor said, "We can't let this die!" As dialogue continues, please pray that new Teen Challenge centers will be opened in this genuinely needy country.

3) GLOBAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Please pray for the Global Executive Council of Global Teen Challenge as leaders from around the world convene at Global Headquarters and meet at Teen Challenge International Conference Center in Yucci, Alabama. We appreciate your prayers for traveling safety, vision, encouragement, and tools to mobilize kingdom assets to address the global pandemic of addiction. By God’s grace, may we REFRAME POSSIBLE as, by God's grace we UNLEASH the HOPE.

4) GTC STORIES TEAMS

Please pray for the amazing young people who are giving time this summer to serve on GTC media teams. We spent a few amazing days sitting in on their training, answering their questions and sharing from our 40 years of ministry experience. We were blessed to pray for them as Alan, David and Gabby take them across the globe. These teams organized under
GTC Stories head for Europe, Latin America, and Eurasia to capture testimonies, profile centers and communities and tell the story of the TC global miracle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pray with us for the global advance of the gospel. Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 120 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in over 32 new nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet PRACTICAL needs.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
