Rev. Diane Swanson

Global Teen Challenge Representative working with women and children

Rev. Diane Swanson, RN, BSN, is a member of the Global Teen Challenge Training team specializing in the area of women and children.  She will serve as a consultant on women’s and children’s issues and assists in the development of Teen Challenge centers for women and children. She will provide staff and leadership training, curriculum, and evangelism tools specifically addressing the needs of women and children. 

Diane Swanson web copyDiane grew up in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona.  While she worked full time as a registered nurse, she also ministered as a children’s pastor, youth pastor, and women’s ministry leader. She joined Teen Challenge of Arizona in 2003 and was the founding director of the Home of Hope women and children’s center.  Diane served faithfully with Teen Challenge of Arizona for 10 years, 2003-2013. Under Diane¹s leadership, Home of Hope has grown to become a model for many other Teen Challenge recovery centers for mothers with children across America.

Diane has been called to Global Teen Challenge to address the needs of women and children caught in life controlling problems such as addiction and abuse around the world.  


Diane grew up in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  While she worked full time as a registered nurse, she also ministered as a children’s pastor, youth pastor, and women’s ministry leader.  She has more than 30 years of women and children’s ministry experience.  AZ. Diane is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.  She served on Governor Brewer’s Arizona Serves Task Force 2011-2013.  She resigned TCAZ in 2013 with a burden to help women out of addiction on a global level. 

She now serves as the Global Representative of Women and Children for Global Teen Challenge. She is the proud momma of two children and a son-in-love: David Swanson, and Charlene and Matthew Gartrell.
