PUERTO RICO: Busy days, crowded altars at night and opportunities for the Kingdom were the order of the day for our trip to Puerto Rico. Along with Pastor Mark and Wanda Burgund of Calvary Church in Naperville, we joined Dr. Rodney Hart and Miguel Canan to lay the groundwork with Angel Roque and the Teen Challenge Puerto Rico team for their July Missions trip to Bayamon. Logistics during the day, Spiritual Impact in the evening, with water baptism and street outreach on Saturday we saw men, once lost with needles in their arms and necks, experience the reality of the power of the Gospel. On the street with Angel Roque, the program director of Puerto Rico Teen Challenge & Ramon, we encountered people in desperate need and saw God touch hearts and lives, We prayed and offered hope to men and women in a hopeless place. When Angel saw Raule (right) "shooting up," he immediately began to minister to him He is coming to the TC program. |

| WATER BAPTISM |

Lives once dominated by drugs, needles, and bondage, become glorious testimonies of the changing power of the Lord Jesus Christ at TC. Campus Pastor Colon led the baptism and Pastor Mark joined us for 25 celebrations as students went into the waters of baptism and rose to newness of Life. |

Transforming a Beer Venue to an Arena of Faith |

| Normally Mardi Gras ends on Ash Wednesday, but in Dominican Republic, carnival was in full effect as we arrived to minister. The Monument venue, still set for a beer bash had to be transformed. Beer ads were replaced by crusade banners and the team prayer-walked, interceding between bands blaring salsa music and drunken revelers. As night fell and the music began, God's spirit moved powerfully. The ministry went forth as Pastor Jimmy preached the word. In the shadow of the Monument of Heroes, the word of God transformed lives. |

Thousands crowded the altar to receive Jesus Christ. At the same time demonic manifestations were confronted in the power of the spirit. Jose and Nellie Martinez, directors of Santiago TC, asked me to to join them to minister deliverance to this lady. The demons are gone. She is rejoicing in her new-found freedom. |

| How can you change the world? One miracle at time. It was a blessing to join our son Chris, the NXT-JHi leaders and Brian Porzio for Breakaway Nation 2013 as the Holy Spirit impacted the lives of Chicagoan middle school students who left their President's weekend break with a fresh fire, filled with the Holy Ghost and ready to impact their world, their friends and their school. |

In a culture of compromise, it was amazing to see young people with such zeal for God's presence, purity and a wonderful hunger for God and leaders willing to take them there. The fun and games were truly overshadowed by the ministry of the word, altar & incredible times of prayer.

3 AMAZING THINGS
ABOUT PRAYER
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Mark 11:24
I say to you, if any two of you agree on earth about anything that they ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. Matt18:19 |

1) God hears us when we pray.
Last week we dealt with God's promise that he hears us when we pray.
2) God Answers Our Prayers
You may not feel like you have much clout anywhere else, but when you pray, God is prepared to move. Most believe God hears. The question is, when He hears, will He act. More than that, it is not that we doubt that God is able to answer? We know He answers prayer, the question is will He answer my prayer. I know God can heal, but will He heal me?
In the name of Jesus, we have access to our heavenly Father. The assurance of faith is that the Father is teaching us that even in our desperate need, He is still there. Do not stop praying.
He’s calling us to surrender our lives to Him in prayer, asking that His will be done in our lives. The Father hears our prayers. Jesus, answers us by giving us all that He has promised in His time and with everything He knows we need.
When we work, we work, but when we pray, God works! Scripture attaches breathtaking power to prayer.
"When two of you get together on anything, and make a prayer of it, My Father in Heaven goes into action"
Matt 18:19 TM
- Does any other promise offer such results?
Did God call us to preach without ceasing?
Or have committee meetings without ceasing?
No, but He did call us to "pray without ceasing."
